Mit Volume 3 setzen die Flötistin Ashley Solomon und Florilegium ihre Spohr Collection fort. Neun exquisite Originalflöten aus dem 18. Jahrhundert wurden aus der Privatsammlung von Peter Spohr ausgewählt und sind hier erstmals weltweit zu hören.

Die Instrumente, die über einen außergewöhnlich schönen Klang verfügen, sind aus unterschiedlichen Materialien gefertigt (massives Elfenbein, Ebenholz und Elfenbein, Buchsbaum und Elfenbein) und passen jeweils zu den Werken des Programms mit Musik von u. a. Vivaldi, Mozart, Clagget oder Locatelli.

Für zwei Lieder von Chilot und Lampe haben sich die Musiker die Sopranistin Rowan Pierce eingeladen.
