Emma Dante inszeniert Verdis »Macbeth«
1846 mit der Komposition beauftragt, war »Macbeth« für Giuseppe Verdi eine Aufgabe ganz nach seinem Geschmack, denn die Oper gab ihm die Möglichkeit, seine ganze Kunstfertigkeit als Komponist zu zeigen. Heute gilt die Oper als ein Meisterwerk. Emma Dante zeigt die ganze Unerbittlichkeit, die in diesem Shakespeare-Stoff steckt. Die Regisseurin gilt als eine der interessantesten Persönlichkeiten der Opernszene und inszenierte schon in der Scala, am Theater an der Ruhr und beim Festival von Aix-en-Provence.
