Von Bizet bis Bartók
Im Laufe seiner umfangreichen Diskographie stellte Neeme Järvi immer wieder unbekannte, osteuropäische Komponisten vor. Nun nahm er sich dem Werk von Leó Weiner (1885–1960) an, der nicht nur ein herausragender Komponist, sondern auch als Lehrer von Solti oder Kurtág von großer Bedeutung ist. Seine Musik ist unzweifelhaft von Bartók inspiriert, doch finden sich immer wieder Elemente, die an Bizet erinnern.
