The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

2008 erfand die Blockflötenbauerin Adriana Breuking die »Eagle-Blockflöte« – groß, schwer und laut; ein ideales Instrument für das Zusammenspiel mit modernen Instrumenten.

Als Dan Laurin diese Flöte auf einem Festival entdeckte, war er fasziniert. Was kann man darauf gut spielen? Eine Antwort hatte der niederländische Komponist Chiel Meijering, der bereits seit 1979 (nicht nur, aber auch) für Blockflöte komponierte.

Also schrieb Meijering für Laurin »Eagle-Konzerte« mit Streicherbegleitung, und zwar rasant: bis heute sind 46 Konzerte entstanden. Seine stilistischen Wurzeln hat der Komponist in der Popmusik, und er teilt selbst seine Schöpfungen in die Kategorien »dreamy / nostalgic / rocking/(heavy) metal«.
