Recommendation!

The interpretation of Mozart’s Sonata in C major, KV 521, for two harpsichords is nothing short of superb! The interplay between the instruments sparkles with precision and vitality, and the phrasing captures Mozart’s wit and elegance in a way very few performances manage.

I have yet to hear a harpsichord version that comes close to this one; it’s by far the finest available today. The entire album is a delight, but this sonata alone more than justifies its price.

P.S.: Mozart Sonatas on the harpsichord are a revelation - the music gains a brilliance, lightness, and character the modern piano can never quite capture. Once you’ve heard them this way, the ubiquitous piano versions feels almost dull by comparison.
