Polnische Nationaloper
Die romantisch-patriotische Oper Straszny Dwór (Das Gespensterschloss) von 1865 ist eines der Erfolgsstücke des polnischen Nationalkomponisten Stanisław Moniuszko (1819–1872) und wird häufig (teils scherzhaft, teils anerkennend) als polnischste aller polnischen Opern bezeichnet. In der Tat quillt das Werk nur so über von zündenden Melodien im Stile der polnischen Volksmusik und hätte verdient auch bei uns bekannter zu sein. Das rührige Label des Fryderyk Chopin Institute in Warschau legt hier erstmals eine Einspielung der Originalfassung des populären Meisterwerkes auf historischen Instrumenten vor, die darüber hinaus auch mit einer hervorragenden Sängerbesetzung punkten kann.
