Nur wenige der Rossini-Opern sind weniger bekannt als Adina. Diese Produktion des Rossini Opera Festival und des Wexford OperaFestival lässt ein Meisterwerk mit glitzernden Arien und reichen Orchesterstrukturen wieder aufleben. Das orientalische Märchen, in dem Adina als Sklavin in einem Serail in Bagdad lebt, wurde von Rosetta Cucchi auf einer riesigen, farbenfrohen Hochzeitstorte inszeniert. Der Gesangsstar Lisette Oropesa "lieferte eine großartige Leistung als Adina. Ihre Stimme war brillant, oben glänzend, in der Mitte warm und rund." (Bachtrack)
