Puccini von seiner komischen und romantischen Seite
Puccinis komische Oper »Gianni Schicchi«, der (üblicherweise) dritte Teil des Opern-Triptychons »Il trittico«, stand im November 2019 auf dem Programm des Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino.

Die durch einige Verse aus Dantes »Göttliche Komödie« inspirierte Geschichte über Tod, Erbschaft und Habgier dreht sich um den gerissenen Betrüger Gianni Schicchi, eine (nicht ganz so) feine Familie und das jugendliche Liebespaar Lauretta und Rinuccio. Hier zeigte Puccini ausnahmsweise einmal seine komödiantische Seite, ohne seine romantischen Stärken zu vernachlässigen: Die weltbekannte Arie der Lauretta »O mio babbino caro« gehört wohl zum Repertoire jeder Sopranistin.

Francesca Longari als Lauretta, Dave Monaco als Rinuccio und der hervorragende Bruno de Simone in der Titelrolle setzten sängerische Highlights.
