Die Crumb-Gesamtausgabe von Bridge erreicht Band 20 mit der ersten Gesamtaufnahme des kürzlich abgeschlossenen Metamorphosen-Zyklus des großen amerikanischen Komponisten. Die "20 Fantasiestücke nach berühmten Gemälden" sind Crumbs "Bilder einer Ausstellung" - akustische Interpretationen berühmter Gemälde aus unserer jüngsten Vergangenheit, darunter Werke von Picasso, van Gogh, Chagall und Dali. Der Kritiker David Hurwitz schreibt: "Die Entscheidung von Bridge, eine Gesamtausgabe von George Crumbs Musik in Angriff zu nehmen, ist nach wie vor eines der bedeutendsten Aufnahmeprojekte, die derzeit in Arbeit sind, und auch eines der künstlerisch erfolgreichsten."
