Caroline Shaw ist eine in New York lebende Sängerin, Geigerin, Komponistin und Produzentin die in Solo- und Gemeinschaftsprojekten auftritt. 2013 erhielt sie als jüngste Empfängerin den Pulitzer-Preises für die Partita for 8 Voices.
Für ihr Debütalbum als Solo-Sängerin Let the Soil Play Its Simple Part tat sich Shaw mit den Musikern von So Percussion zusammen, die sie seit ihren Studentenzeiten kennt.
