Polnische Nationaloper
Stanislaw Moniuszko fällt für die Musik Polens im 19. Jahrhundert die gleiche große Bedeutung zu wie die Smetanas für die tschechische Musik. Seine 1848 uraufgeführte Oper Halka gilt zu Recht als die polnische Nationaloper schlechthin. In einer Produktion der Breslauer Oper wird die Bedeutung ohren- und augenfällig.
