Al Turiddu geht er etwas weniger radikal mit seiner ehemaligen Geliebten um als der wilde Luis Lima in Wien, ja, es gibt im großen Duett sogar einen ergreifenden, innigen Moment. Die Santuzza von Tatjana Troyanos ist ein herrliches Weib: urig, rassig und mit jugendlich getöntem Mezzo. Ihr gequälter Schlussschrei löst ganz unmittelbar Gänsehaut aus.
