Maria Callas remains one of the most well known names in opera even now, over 30 years after her death. In many ways she defined the term Diva which is now used about so many fairly ordinary singers. Maria Callas herself was in fact pretty much extraordinary with a vocal range which enabled her to sing Top E, a musical feat deemed almost impossible till she did it. This collection showcases a wonderful selection of her greatest arias and ensures her reputation continues to grow.
