Die komische Oper Romulus des Amerikaners Louis Karchin basiert auf der gleichnamigen einaktigen Prosakomödie des berühmten Alexandre Dumas (Vater) und handelt von einer dubiosen Vaterschaft und politischen Intrigen im Österreichischen Tirol. Die lebhafte Handlung der Oper steckt voller Überraschungen, die die gut gezeichneten Charaktere in komische Situationen führen. Louis Karchin leitete bei der vorliegenden Aufführung selbst das Washington Square Ensemble sowie die hoch motivierte und –karätige Sängerriege.
