Kerstin Meyer gibt ein starkes Porträt der bigotten Fürstin, die mit ihrer Eiseskälte Angelica letztlich in den Selbstmord treibt. Große Sängerpersönlichkeiten dominieren auch in den beiden anderen Einaktern. In 'Gianni Schicchi' zeigt Walter Berry einmal mehr seine enorme Wandlungsfähigkeit.
