SACD (Super Audio CD)

The SACD uses a higher digital resolution than the audio CD and also offers the possibility to store multi-channel sound (surround sound). To enjoy the music in high-end quality, a special SACD player is required. Thanks to the hybrid function, most of the products marked "SACD" in our store can also be played on conventional CD players. In this case, however, the sound does not differ from that of a normal CD. In case of deviations, we point this out separately (non-hybrid).

Klangwunder

Danke an die japanischen Klangtüftler von Esoteric. Sie haben aus diesen vier Opern wahre SACD-Perlen gezaubert. Und für die früher allmächtige DG der Hinweis: Aus schnöden Profitgründen den SACD-Produktionen abzuschwören, war ein Riesenfehler. Die "kleinen" haben auch Super-Künstler und produzieren SACDs.

Selbst Mehrkanaliges hier nur in Stereo

Unverständlich, dass z. B. die wunderbare Mehrkanalversion der TRAVIATA-Aufnahme hier nur in Stereo vorliegt.
Auch einige andere Einspielungen hätte man endlich in den Mehrkanalvorlagen neu herausbringen können. DANN würde sich dieser kostspielige Kauf lohnen.
Der Mehrwert gegenüber den vorliegenden Normal-CD-Ausgaben rechtfertig für den Musikliebhaber keinen Kauf.
