Robin Jarvis wurde in Liverpool geboren und hat Grafikdesign an der Northumbria University studiert. Nach dem Studium zog er nach London, wo er als Modellbauer für das Fernsehen und die Unterhaltungsindustrie arbeitete. Mit dem Schreiben und Illustrieren von Büchern begann Robin Jarvis 1988.
