Kerry Greenwood stammt aus Melbourne. Sie studierte Jura and der Melbourne University. Neben ihren Katzen ist eine große Liebe in ihrem Leben das Theater: Kerry Greenwood war schon als Folk-Sängerin, Regisseurin, Übersetzerin, Kostümdesignerin und Köchin der Kompanie. In der Regel aber arbeitet sie als Notarin und bei einer kostenlosen Rechtsberatungsstelle und widmet sich dem Schreiben von Fantasy- und Detektivromanen.
