Biografie
Hilary McKay wurde 1959 in Lincolnshire, Großbritannien, als älteste von vier Schwestern geboren. Sie studierte Botanik, Zoologie und Psychologie. Nach der Geburt ihres zweiten Kindes gab sie ihren Beruf als Laborantin der Biologie und Chemie auf und widmet sich seitdem ganz dem Schreiben. Sie lebt mit ihrer Familie in Derbyshire, Großbritannien.
