Elaine Dundy wurde 1927 in New York geboren. Zunächst war sie Schauspielerin und mit Stars wie Tony Curtis und Douglas Fairbanks befreundet. Später widmete sie sich ganz dem Schreiben und verfasste zahlreiche Romane, Kurzgeschichten, journalistische Arbeiten sowie eine Elvis Presley-Biographie. Elaine Dundy lebt bei New York.
