Dennis Lehane wurde 1966 in Dorchester, Massachusetts, geboren. Bekannt wurde er mit seiner Krimiserie um Patrick Kenzie und Angela Gennaro. Clint Eastwoods Verfilmung seines Romans "Mystic River" wurde mit mehreren Oscars ausgezeichnet. Dennis Lehane lebt in Boston.
