Usain St. Leo Bolt, geboren 1986 in Jamaika, ist sechsfacher Olympiasieger und Weltrekordhalter im 100- und 200-Meter-Lauf sowie in der 4-mal-100-Meter-Staffel. Seine Weltrekordzeit von 9,58 Sekunden erzielte er 2009 im Finale der Leichtathletik-WM in Berlin. Der Weltleichtathletikverband wählte ihn 2008, 2009, 2011 und 2012 zum Leichtathleten des Jahres. 2009, 2010 und 2013 erhielt er den Laureaus World Sports Award als Weltsportler des Jahres.
