Biografie
Rebecca Wells ist Buchautorin, Schauspielerin und Dramatikerin. Sie wuchs auf einer Plantage in Louisiana auf, arbeitete als Kellnerin und nahm bei Allen Ginsberg Schreibunterricht. Nebenbei machte sie am Theater Karriere und feierte große Erfolge mit ihrem Ein-Personen-Stück "Splittin Hair". Mit ihren Geschichten von den Ya-Ya-Schwestern setzte sie in den USA eine Kultbewegung in Gang, die Frauen aller Altersgruppen erfasste: Begeisterte Fans gründeten Ya-Ya-Clubs, deren Mitglieder Geheimnisse hüten, Rezepte austauschen und Kummer teilen. Rebecca Wells lebt mit ihrem Mann auf einer Insel bei Seattle.
