Linus Torvalds, Jahrgang 1969, ist der "Held der Hacker". Während seines Studiums an der Universität Helsinki entwickelte er 1991 das Linux-Betriebssystem, dessen Quellcode jedem offensteht. In der Folge entwickelte sich Linux zu einem Projekt, an dem weltweit Tausende von Programmierern und Hunderttausende von Benutzern beteiligt sind. David Diamond schloss 1975 die Universität Alberta mit einem Bachelor of Fine Arts für Schauspiel ab. 1981 war er Mitbegründer von Headlines Theatre und seit 1984 ist er dessen künstlerischer Leiter. Er leitete seitdem an die 500 gemeinwesenspezifische Theaterprojekte zu Themen wie Rassismus, Bürgerbeteiligung, Gewalt, Sucht, Generationenkonflikt und Obdachlosigkeit.
