Biografie
Felix Salten wurde am 6. September 1869 unter dem Namen Siegmund Salzmann als Sohn eines ungarischen Ingenieurs in Budapest geboren und übersiedelte kurz nach seiner Geburt nach Wien. Der Journalismus wurde zu seinem Hauptfeld. Jedoch schrieb er gleichzeitig Prosa, Theaterstücke und Operettenlibretti. In Kooperation mit anderen Autoren schrieb er Drehbücher und arbeitete sehr erfolgreich als Regisseur. International bekannt wurde Salten vor allem durch die Verfilmungen seiner Bücher "Bambi", ein Leben im Walde, "Perri" und "Der Hund von Florenz" durch Walt Disney. 1938 floh er in die Schweiz. Er starb mit 76 Jahren, am 8. Oktober 1945, in Zürich.
