Chris Columbus hat als Drehbuchautor, Regisseur und Produzent in Hollywood Filmgeschichte geschrieben. Seine Werke zählen zu den erfolgreichsten Kino-Hits der letzten Jahre. Als Drehbuchschreiber hat er sich unter anderem mit 'Gremlins - Kleine Monster' einen Namen gemacht, als Regisseur hat er 'Mrs. Doubtfire', die ersten beiden Harry-Potter-Filme sowie 'Percy Jackson - Diebe im Olymp' zum Erfolg geführt und schließlich als Produzent an einer weiteren Harry-Potter-Verfilmung mitgewirkt sowie beispielsweise die Kino-Hits 'Nachts im Museum 1+2' ermöglicht.
