sehr geil! axl rose ist immer noch der beste!

gerade bei "don´t cry" ist Gänsehaut angesagt! chinese Democracy rockt als opener! "paradise City" und "heavens door" gefiel mir live zu use your Illusion zeiten auf der tour 91-93 ne ecke besser! dizzy reed als Keyboarder kommt auch während des konzertes bzw heutzutage mehr zu tragen, wie damals anfang der 90er. leider ist das Publikum hier sehr lahm und hält nur die mitfilmenden Handys in die höhe, anstatt mal richtig zu rocken! vom Sound ein super Konzert und das cover von "the seeker" ist der hammer mit axl´s stimme! die beiden CDs bei der specialausgabe sind ebenfalls super vom Sound! Daumen hoch! für mich als alten gnr fan ein MUSS das teil zu haben :-)

Anderes Konzert gesehen?

Ich habe mir das Konzert gerade versucht, anzuschauen und konnte es nicht ertragen. Wenn ich je etwas gesehen habe, was nicht authentisch ist, dann dieses Konzert.
Beinahe jeder Song statisch und von Exzentrik der Charaktere überladen.
Die Stimme von Axel Rose ist leider hinüber. Und lustigerweise gibt es in kritischen Passagen scheinbare, technische Probleme mit dem Mikro.
Der Schlagzeuger ist eine Maschine, spielt aber komplett statisch, wie ne Schießbudenfigur. Dann drei Gitarren... Bumblefoot kann ja technisch wirklich spielen, klingt aber leider total flach. DJ Kasperkopf imitiert Slash und scheitert grandios. Seine Soli sind ein schlechter Kopierversuch... Und sein Sound ist halt leider echt nicht gut... auch wenn er ebenfalls das Instrument wirklich spielen kann...
Optisch ist die Show recht gut geraten, allerdings erscheint es so, als wolle man musikalische Schwächen durch den großen Auftritt kaschieren.

Wer jemals Slash in einem seiner Projekte nach Guns n Roses gesehen hat, weiß, wo immer die Seele der Band lag und wie Musik gut klingen kann. Und Miles Kennedy hat einfach mal mehr Stimmgewalt, als bei Axel Rose in diesem Konzert noch vorhanden ist. Es mag sein, dass er sich später wieder verbessert haben mag. Das kann ich nicht beurteilen, weil ich es nicht erlebt habe. *Hier geht es aber ja um das Konzert dieser DVD und das hätte Miles Kennedy um Klassen besser gesungen.
Ich habe Guns n Roses in den 90ern live im Station gesehen und bin dankbar dafür, das noch erlebt haben zu dürfen.
Ich frage mich ernsthaft, wie man den Auftritt auf dieser DVD schön reden kann...
