Bei ihrem Rollendebüt als Lucrezia Borgia in Gaetano Donizettis gleichnamiger Oper hat Edita Gruberova im Jahr 2009 im Münchner Nationaltheater einen umjubelten Triumph gefeiert. Die in der Slowakei geborene Künstlerin zog das Publikum in Donizettis Belcanto-Oper mit makellosen Koloraturen und Spitzentönen in ihren Bann.
Und so wird die mittlerweile über 60jährige Künstlerin, die immer noch für eine Überraschung gut ist, auch in diesem Jahr wieder für Belcanto-Sternstunden sorgen.
