A superbly inventive set from one of rock music’s finest singers, full of unusual and experimental lyrical ideas, notably ‘The Immigrant Lad’ - a biographically flavoured saga. Recorded in Los Angeles in 1968, this re-mastered album has John Weider and Vic Briggs (guitars), with organist Zoot Money making a guest appearance. Fiery rockers like ‘White Houses’ are contrasted with blues and mellow instrumentals and we have added two bonus tracks, including a single version of ‘River Deep, Mountain High’.
