Nachdem Yoko Ono bereits Anfang 2016 ihr neues Album »Yes, I’m A Witch Too« präsentierte, an dem sie jedoch nur als Initiatorin und nicht als Sängerin mitwirkte, legt die mittlerweile 83-jährige Musikerin jetzt auch noch ihre elf Studioalben aus den Jahren 1968 bis 1985 neu auf.

Den Anfang machen die beiden John-Lennon-Kollaborationen »Unfinished Music, No. 2: Life With The Lions« und »Unfinished Music, No. 1: Two Virgins« sowie Onos erstes Soloalbum »Plastic Ono Band«.

»Unfinished Music, No. 2: Life With The Lions« war das zweite Album, das Ono mit ihrem späteren Ehemann John Lennon aufnahm. Es erschien ursprünglich bereits im Mai 1969 und ist dem Genre Avantgarde zuzuordnen.

Bei der neuen CD wurden zwei Bonussongs ergänzt, die bereits auf der ersten CD-Version von 1997 zu hören waren.

Alle Alben wurden für die Reissues komplett neu gemastert, und zwar auf Basis der Originaltapes. Sie erscheinen in Originaldesign und -verpackung und sind sowohl als CD als auch auf Vinyl erhältlich.

Endlich: Mit »Unfinished Music, No. 2: Life With The Lions« gibt es 2016 das legendäre zweite Album von Yoko Ono und John Lennon erneut, und zwar komplett remastert als CD und LP.
