When the CD came out in the early 1980s, it seemed as if the days of the record were counted. At the latest with the introduction of the MP3 file, probably only a few had expected a comeback of the vinyl.
But contrary to all trends and technical developments, the record is not dead yet. The analog medium is more popular in the digital age than ever. And so the request is growing steadily, the industry is booming and the production cannot cope with the demand. This may in many cases be due to the fact that the record has developed into a new lifestyle accessory. However, its success is mainly due to the fact that it is an absolute lover's medium.
Vinyl fans are enthused about the look and feel as well as from the »warm sound« of the record, which a CD could never reach despite or because of all perfection.
Therefore, the record is still an integral part of our product range. And because it is known to require a little more space than the CD, we even expanded our storage space in 2015.
