Ende April gaben sich an zwei Abenden in der berühmten Hollywood Bowl Größen aus verschiedensten Stilen die Klinke in die Hand. Country-Stars wie Kris Kristofferson, Rosanne Cash und George Strait huldigten ihrem Freund Willie Nelson. Ebenso wie die nächste Generation dieser uramerikanischen Musik, vertreten durch Künstler wie Billy Strings und Chris Stapleton.
Aus dem Rock-Bereich geben sich Stars wie Beck, Warren Haynes und selbst Keith Richards die Ehre. Der Gitarrist nimmt sich gemeinsam mit dem Jubilar den Stones-Song »We Had It All« vor. Und auch Stephen Stills und Neil Young lassen es sich nicht nehmen, mit Willie zu fragen »Are There Any More Real Cowboys?«.
Außerdem sind Norah Jones, Lyle Lovett, Dave Matthews, Snoop Dogg, Sheryl Crow und viele mehr vertreten.
