Angesichts der sozialen Unruhen veranstaltete das legendäre Plattenlabel Stax Records aus Memphis 1965 zwei pulsierende Shows im 5-4 Ballroom in Los Angeles, bei denen Rufus Thomas, Booker T. & The M.G.'s, William Bell, Carla Thomas, Wilson Pickett und andere auftraten. 60 Jahre später wurden diese Aufnahmen, die von Joe Tarantino neu gemastert wurden, mit einem Bonusset von Auftritten, die im selben Jahr im Club Paradise in Memphis aufgenommen wurden, zu »Stax Revue - Live In '65!« zusammengestellt.
