Die Gründung von GRC Records in Atlanta produzierte eine Fülle großartiger Soulmusik. Aufgrund der plötzlichen Schließung wurde ein großer Teil davon nie veröffentlicht.
Die Bänder blieben jedoch erhalten und 24 ausgesuchte Tracks wurden für diese Compilation zusammengestellt. Der Ausname-Songschreiber Sam Dees zeichnet für diverse Tracks dieses Soul-Samplers verantwortlich, der wie immer bei Ace von ausführlichen, informativen Liner Notes begleitet wird.
