»The Right Time« heißt das neue Album von Ural Thomas & The Pain. Der Ausnahme-Künstler performte bereits mit den ganz Großen wie James Brown, Otis Redding und Stevie Wonder. Während der 60er und 70er Jahren veröffentlichte er einige eigene Singles, darunter auch der bekanntere Song »Can You Dig It« mit Backing Vocals von Merry Clayton, Mary Wells und Brenda Holloway.
Ural Thomas hat weit über 40 Shows im legendären Apollo Theater in NYC gespielt und veranstaltete im Anschluss über viele Jahre regelmäßige Jam-Sessions in seiner Heimat Portland. Es wird deutlich – ein Mann, der quasi aus Rhythmus besteht, setzt sich niemals zur Ruhe: »If you care about what you’re doing, you need to build those muscles and do the work. Don’t get discouraged, do it for love. Even if you’re digging ditches, do it with passion.«
Nun veröffentlicht Ural Thomas mit fast 80 Jahren gemeinsam mit seiner Band ein brandneues, elf Tracks-starkes Album. »The Right Time« erscheint via Tender Loving Empire.
