Als das Gothic-Rock Quartett Unto Others 2019 in Eigenregie ihr erstes Album »Mana« veröffentlichten - damals noch unter dem Namen Idle Hands -, wurde das Werk von metal.de auf Anhieb zum zweitbesten Album des Jahres auserkoren.
Nun hat die Band aus Portland, Oregon bei Roadrunner Records unterschrieben und schickt umgehend das neue Album ›Strength‹ ins Rennen. »Mana« fuhr »Best of 2019«-Auszeichnungen u.a. von Metal Hammer, Decibel Magazine, Invisible Oranges, Treble, Stereogum sowie Heavy Consequence ein, die anmerkten: »Franco [Gabriel Franco, Sänger] klingt mehr nach Robert Smith als nach Bruce Dickinson, obwohl sowohl The Cure als auch Iron Maiden im Sound seiner Band durchschlagen.«
Unto Others tourten mit »Mana« an der Seite von King Diamond und Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats durch Nordamerika und spielten von Küste zu Küste vor ausverkauften Häusern, 2020 meldeten sie sich mit der Überraschungs-Veröffentlichung »Don't Waste Your Time II« zurück.
