Zur Feier ihres 50-jährigen Bestehens hatten The Residents im Januar 2023 einen geheimen, einmaligen Auftritt in ihrer Heimatstadt San Francisco.
Zusammen mit handverlesenen Gastmusikern spielte die Band eine Setlist gespickt mit Klassikern, darunter auch Songs, die noch nie zuvor live gespielt wurden. Mit Orchester- und Chorarrangements, Rockausflügen, Mariachi-Einlagen und natürlich The Residents selbst entstand eine Show, die allen, die dabei waren, noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird.
