Zum Jahresende 2021 veröffentlicht Alan Parsons ein neues Konzertalbum: »The Neverending Show: Live In The Netherlands«.
Die Show von Alan Parsons Live Project wurde am 5. Mai 2019 live im Tivoli in Utrecht, Niederlande, aufgezeichnet. Die Band an seiner Seite: P. J. Olsson (Leadgesang, Akustikgitarre, Perkussion), Todd Cooper (Gesang, Saxofon, Blockflöte, Akustikgitarre, Perkussion), Jeff Kollman (Gitarren, Gesang), Tom Brooks (Keyboards, Gesang), Dan Tracey (Gitarren, Gesang), Guy Erez (Bass, Gesang), Danny Thompson (Schlagzeug, Gesang) und Jordan Asher Huffman (Gastgesang).
Gemeinsam spielten sie ein karriereumspannendes Set aus 20 Tracks mit vielen der bekanntesten Songs des Alan Parsons Live Project aus den 1970er- und 1980er-Jahren, darunter »Games People Play«, »Time« und »Don’t Answer Me« sowie ein Medley, das das oft gehörte Instrumental »Sirius« mit dem Song »Eye In The Sky« kombiniert. Als Highlight wartet auf »The Neverending Show: Live In The Netherlands« auch ein neuer Song (und auf der DVD ein neues Musikvideo): »The Neverending Show«, der die Vorfreude auf das neue Studioalbum des britischen Musikers steigert, an dem Alan Parsons derzeit arbeitet und das 2022 erscheinen soll.
Einen ersten Vorgeschmack auf das neue Konzertalbum gibt es bereits mit der Liveversion von »Games People Play«, das ursprünglich 1980 auf »The Turn Of A Friendly Card« erschien. »The Neverending Show – Live In The Netherlands« kommt am 5. November 2021 auf CD inklusive DVD und am 10. Dezember als 3-LP-Set, wahlweise auf klassisch-schwarzem Vinyl oder Clear Vinyl. Beide können jetzt schon vorbestellt werden.
