An kreativem Output scheint es dem Quintett nicht zu mangeln, im Gegenteil: »The Similitude Of A Dream« bietet über 100 Minuten Songmaterial, verpackt in sage und schreibe 23 Tracks auf zwei CDs.
Mit »Long Day/Overture« und »City Of Destruction« veröffentlichte die Neal Morse Band vorab bereits zwei Hörproben von der neuen Platte. Beide Songs geben Schlagzeuger Mike Portnoy recht, der »The Similitude Of A Dream« als absoluten Höhepunkt seiner langjährigen Zusammenarbeit mit Morse und als das Album ihrer Karriere bezeichnete.
Neben der Doppel-CD gibt es »The Similitude Of A Dream« als Deluxe-Edition mit zusätzlicher »The Making Of A Dream«-DVD. Vinylfans kommen zudem mit dem 3-LP-Set inkl. Doppel CD auf ihre Kosten. Dieses ist auch als Limited-Edition mit farbigem Vinyl erhältlich.
Nur ein Jahr nach ihrem Debüt fügt die Neal Morse Band ihrem beeindruckenden Œuvre ein weiteres Highlight hinzu. »The Similitude Of A Dream« ist das zweite Album der Supergroup.
