»Permission To Land« wurde ursprünglich 2003 über Atlantic Records veröffentlicht und stürmte an die Spitze der UK-Albumcharts, wo es sich vier Wochen lang hielt und 53 Wochen lang in den Top 100 vertreten war. Es brachte der Band drei BRIT Awards ein, darunter British Album Of The Year, British Group und British Rock Act, bei denen sie sich gegen die Konkurrenz von Blur, Radiohead, Sugababes, Muse, Primal Scream und anderen durchsetzen. Das Album hat sich bis heute über 1, 4 Millionen Mal verkauft. Die Band wird dieses Jahr auch wieder über 40 Konzerte in Europa und den USA spielen – 4 davon im November auch in Deutschland.
