Claypool von Primus und Sean Lennon von The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger haben sich nach einer erfolgreichen Tour ihrer beiden Bands auch für ein gemeinsames musikalisches Projekt zusammengetan und veröffentlichen als The Claypool Lennon Delirium ihr gemeinsames Album »Monolith Of Phobos« via ATO Records.
Über einen Zeitraum von ungefähr sechs Wochen nahmen die beiden Musiker Songs für dieses Album auf, bei denen sie die Zuständigkeiten für die verschiedenen Instrumente und Gesangparts, unabhängig von ihren bisherigen Hauptinstrumenten Bass und Gitarre, untereinander aufteilten.
Claypool dazu: »Sean is a musical mutant after my own heart. He definitely reflects his genetics-not just the sensibilities of his dad but also the abstract perspective and unique approach of his mother. It makes for a glorious freak stew.«
