Großer Schritt nach vorne!
Die allmächtigen Sylosis sind zurück und haben mit »Dormant Heart« ein neues Album im Gepäck, das sie auf dem absoluten Höhepunkt ihres bisherigen Schaffens zeigt. Zwölf hochexplosive Progressive Thrash Metal-Granaten lassen die Briten auf die Menschheit los und zerfetzen damit mal eben die Gehörgänge all jener, die das Album fahrlässig auf die leichte Schulter nehmen. Zwar konnte sich die Band schon mit den Vorgängeralben eine treue Gefolgschaft erspielen, aber mit »Dormant Heart«, ihrem insgesamt stimmigsten Album bisher, machen Sylosis noch mal einen großen Schritt nach vorne und definieren endgültig ihren typischen Sound, der im gnadenlosen »Victims And Pawns«, im mächtig groovenden »Servitude«, sowie im neunminütigen, alle Farbpaletten abdeckenden »Quiescent« seine Höhepunkte findet. Die Reise von Sylosis ist noch lange nicht zu Ende, aber »Dormant Heart« ist ein bedeutender Meilenstein auf ebenjener. Fabelhaft!
