»An Evening Of New York Songs And Stories« lautet der Titel des neuen Konzertalbums von Suzanne Vega für 2020.Bereits Anfang des letzten Jahres spielte die amerikanische Singer-Songwriterin im legendären New Yorker Café Carlyle ein besonderes Set aus Hits wie »Luka« und »Tom’s Diner« sowie weniger bekannten Songs aus ihrer Diskografie, zum Beispiel »Frank And Ava« und »Ludlow Street«. Auch Songs ihres letzten Albums »Lover, Beloved: Songs From An Evening With Carson McCullers« warten auf dem Livemitschnitt.
Unterstützt wurde Vega auf der Bühne von ihrem langjährigen Gitarristen Gerry Leonard, dem Bassisten Jeff Allen und dem Keyboarder Jamie Edwards. Leonard übernahm auch die Produktion von »An Evening Of New York Songs And Stories«. Um Mixing und Mastering kümmerten sich Toningenieur Kevin Killen und Bob Ludwig.
