Die internationale Progressive-Metal- und Rock-Supergroup Soen präsentiert 2019 ihr neues, mittlerweile viertes Album.Neun Songs hat das Quintett um den ehemaligen Opeth-Drummer Martin Lopez dafür aufgenommen.
Mit »Rival« veröffentlichten Soen bereits die erste Single. Und die verspricht einiges von »Lotus«: düstere Stimmung, komplexe Songstrukturen, vielseitige Kompositionen.
Dazu trug zum ersten Mal auch ihr neuer kanadischer Gitarrist Cody Ford bei.
Aufgenommen haben Soen die Platte in den Ghostward Studios und Studio 6 zwischen Juli und Oktober 2018. Um die Produktion kümmerten sich David Castillo und Iñaki Marconi.
Ein großartiger Start ins neue Metal-Jahr 2019: Soen machen ihrem Titel »Supergroup« mal wieder alle Ehre, mit ihrem neuen Album »Lotus«.
