Auch »Riot Archives Vol.2« erfreut mit einer Vielzahl unveröffentlichter Aufnahmen, hierbei liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Mark II-Phase mit Sänger Rhett Forrester zur Zeit der Alben »Restless Breed« & »Born in America«!
Riot wurden 1975 in New York City gegründet und nahmen mit »Fire Down Under« (1981 veröffentlicht) eine der wichtigsten Metal-Platten aller Zeiten auf. Leider weilen mit Sänger Guy Speranza (gestorben am 8. November 2003) sowie Gitarrist, Bandgründer und Hauptsongschreiber Mark Reale (gestorben am 25. Januar 2012) die beiden bedeutendsten Riot-Protagonisten nicht mehr unter uns.
Wie schon sein Vorgänger, beinhaltet auch »Riot Archives Vol.2« eine Vielzahl unveröffentlichter Aufnahmen aus den Untiefen des Riot-Archivs. Der Schwerpunkt liegt hierbei auf der Mark II-Phase mit Rhett Forrester am Gesang, der Alben wie »Restless Breed« (1982) und »Born In America« (1983) nicht unwesentlich prägte.
