Dieses Deluxe-Doppel-LP-Album wurde anlässlich des 45-jährigen Jubiläums erweitert und neu gemastert und es ist das erste Mal, dass die komplette Filmmusik auf Vinyl veröffentlicht wurde. Carrie ist ein Horrorfilm aus dem Jahr 1976, der auf dem gleichnamigen, erstmals veröffentlichten Roman des Autors Stephen King basiert.
Der Film mit Sissy Spacek in der Hauptrolle wurde von Brian De Palma (Scarface, Phantom Of The Paradise) inszeniert. Die Filmmusik des legendären Komponisten Pino Donaggio (The Howling, Tourist Trap) fängt gekonnt den Druck der erzwungenen Unschuld, den Humor des Teenager-Dramas und das Trauma des Erwachsenwerdens als Mädchen im Amerika der 1970er Jahre ein.
Das Album enthält ebenso die Titel »Born To Have It All« und »I Never Thought Someone Like You Could Love Someone Like Me« von Katie Irving. Der »Carrie« Original Motion Picture Soundtrack enthält die erweiterte Filmmusik, die komplett neu gemastert wurde.
