Eine prägende Inspiration für die junge Musikerin war übrigens Peytons verstorbene Großmutter und Gospelsängerin Theola Booker, die nicht nur gemeinsam mit Reverend James Cleveland komponierte und arrangierte und dafür eine Grammy-Nominierung erhielt, sondern auch jahrzehntelang Klavierunterricht an Peytons Grundschule gab und dort auch unter anderem die junge Beyoncé ausbildete.
