The Olympics motto of never mind the width, feel the quality is finally circumvented by Ace, who package width and quality on to this sensational release. Drawn from the Arvee catalogue, it covers the period 1959 - 1961, including the double sided hit "(Baby) Hully Gully" and "Private Eye", and their other 5 chart successes, "Big Boy Pete", "Shimmy Like Kate", "Dance By The Light Of The Moon", "Little Pedro" and "Dooley". They certainly had a way with titles, for besides these little gems, you get "Boo-Dee Green", "Big Chief Little Puss" and the unforgettable "Mash Them 'Taters" among the 26 cuts.
The original albums had 10 sides each, but since 4 of these were actually by the Marathons, we decided to leave them off. A record for all occasions - you can do the Madison, the Slop, the Pony Time, the Scotch?? or even the humble Twist.
