Das Konzert von Il Volo mit Stargast und Dirigent Plácido Domingo am 01. Juli 2016 war ein überwältigender Erfolg und begeisterte über 6000 Zuschauer in der magischen Kulisse der Florentiner Piazza Santa Croce. Jetzt erscheint dieses Konzert unter dem Titel »Notte Magica« als Album-CD, im Dezember folgt die Live-DVD.
Plácido Domingo dirigierte an diesem Abend nicht nur das Orchester des berühmten Teatro Massimo di Palermo, er stimmte auch bei »Non ti scordar di me« in den Gesang von Il Volo ein. Marcello Rota wechselte sich am Pult mit Domingo ab. Die Sänger von Il Volo – Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto und Gianluca Ginoble – präsentierten ein perfekt abgestimmtes Programm populärer neapolitanischer, italienischer und internationaler Stücke, von Musical-Evergreens bis zu berühmten Opernarien. Mit »Torna a surriento«, »Core ›ngrato«, »E lucevan le stelle«, »Una furtiva lagrima«, »Granada«, »Tonight« u. v.a.
Das Konzert erscheint auch als limitiertes Deluxe-Album mit Highlights aus dem Konzert auf der Bonus-DVD.
