Aufgenommen wurde »Stage fright« am 7. Dezember 2004 bei einem Konzert in der Düsseldorfer Phillipshalle. Das Set umfasst 20 Songs aus der gesamten Motörhead-Historie, inklusive ›Overkill‹, ›Ace Of Spades‹ und ›Iron Fist‹.

Stage Fright präsentiert das Konzert aus Düsseldorf, aufgenommen mit 23 High Definition-Kameras unter der Leitung von Regisseur Sven Offen (Papa Roach, Heather Nova, Grönemeyer, Toten Hosen, u.a.). Für das spezielle Lichtdesign der Show konnten Motörhead Gert Hof verpflichten, dessen Arbeiten unter anderem für Rammstein weltberühmt sind.
